Ingredients
- 300g passata
- 1 tsp Marmite
- 4 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp mustard powder
- 3 tbsp smoked paprika
- 4 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 level tbsp sweetener granules
- 1.5-2kg lean pork shoulder, visible fat removed
Method
- Mix the passata, Marmite, soy sauce, vinegar, mustard, paprika, garlic and sweetener in a small non-stick pan and simmer over a low heat for 15 minutes or until the sauce thickens.
- Meanwhile, put a non-stick frying pan over a high heat and when it’s really hot sear the pork on all sides. Transfer the pork to your slow cooker, pour over the sauce and cook on Low for 8-12 hours (you could also put it all in an ovenproof dish and cook in an oven preheated to 150°C/fan 130°C/gas 2 for 3-4 hours).
- Once cooked, shred the pork using 2 forks and serve with Slimming World chips and lots of salad.
