SW recipe: Beef and Bean Hot-Pot Bake

Ingredients:

750g Stewing Beef – Lean
2 Chopped Onion
450g Carrots
1 Tbsp Plain Flour
To Taste Salt & Pepper
200ml Beef Stock
2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
400g Baked Beans
2 Bay Leaf
600g Potatoes

Method:

Pre-heat the oven to 180C Gas Mark 4
Place beef, onions, carrots and flour in a baking dish, season and toss to mix well.

Pour in the boiling hot stock then add Worcestershire sauce, baked beans and bay leaves. Stir to mix well and arrange the sliced potatoes on top of the mixture.

Cover with foil then place in the oven for about 1 1/2 hours or until the potatoes are cooked and tender.

Remove the foil, then turn the oven up to brown the potatoes, or finish under the grill for 5-9 minutes.
