SW recipe: Ultimate tuna melt

Easy cheesy!


Serves 1


Ready in about 20 minutes

120g canned tuna in spring water, drained

6-8 cherry tomatoes, quartered

2 spring onions, finely sliced

1 tbsp chopped fresh dill

2 tbsp plain quark

2 slices wholemeal bread from a small 400g loaf

20g grated reduced-fat Cheddar

Pinch of sweet smoked paprika, to serve

Worcestershire sauce, to serve


1 Preheat your grill to high. Flake the tuna into a bowl and mix well with the tomatoes, spring onions, dill and quark. Season with freshly ground black pepper.

2 Toast the bread until browned on both sides. Spread the tuna mixture onto one side of each slice, going right up to the edges. Scatter the cheese evenly over the top.

3 Grill for 1-2 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbling. Just before serving, sprinkle over some paprika and a few splashes of Worcestershire sauce, then cut into triangles.
